How many of you have that can of shaving cream just hanging out in the shower? Did you know that most of those cans have quite a few harmful ingredients in them? Don't believe me, just read the label. I will do another blog talking about those.
Well if you are ready to make a change to something more natural and with very few ingredients then this is for you.
You will need:
2T of Honey
2T of Oil (like sweet almond or grapeseed)
1T of Castile Soap
2 oz. bottle with a squeeze top (makes it easier to use)
A funnel (optional) to make pouring easier
Directions:
Mix well all of the ingredients in a bowl and funnel into your bottle. If you find the honey too thick to use try boiling some water and put the jar of honey in it to loosen it up. After you make this and it sits a while, you will notice settling, it is normal, so shake well before using.
Things to remember:
A little goes a long way. If you are familiar with using castile soap then you know this to be true.
This is a recipe for small batch production. Because you won't use much at a time, you don't really need to make a whole lot.
You can use the honey in the plastic bear. We know that using local organic honey would be better but honey is expensive so if the little plastic bear is in your price range, use it.
Make it your own. As with any DIY recipe, be as creative as you'd like.
