Updated: Feb 27, 2023

Sometimes we get caught in the rut of using essential oils for the same purpose not knowing that there are many more options and ways to use it. For example, you might use orange essential oil in your DIY cleaning products but did you know it is also effective in the use of aromatherapy

Let's look at 5 common essential oils that have multiple uses. Please note that you should use the food grade quality of essential oils for oral care or ingestion and always use a carrier oil when applying essential oils to your skin.

  1. Peppermint essential oil can be used as a natural muscle relaxant, overall pain relief, skin care and oral care (such as in DIY toothpaste).

  2. Lemon essential oil can be used in aromatherapy, DIY cleaning recipes and skin care

  3. Tea Tree essential oil has been known to be effective in treating acne, works great in DIY cleaning recipes,

  4. Frankincense essential oil can be used to treat pain, oral care, health and wellness (treatments for asthma and arthritis) and helps to boost immunity.

  5. Lavender essential oil works well in aromatherapy, helps with relaxation and offers a pleasant and calming scent to any atmosphere.

Even if your favorite essential oil didn't make the list it doesn't mean it does not have many uses, I just used the most common ones
